He was a Catalan impressionist painter, member of the Landscape School of Olot. He learned painting under the mastery of Josep Berga i Boix, complementing his training at the Mallol Academy and the Artistic Circle of Sant Lluc in Barcelona. He took part in numerous group exhibitions throughout Spain and South America. The present work, with its bold brushstrokes and spectacular colouring, is of sufficient quality to be a painting from a good period of the artist's life.
