The Rolex Oysterdate ref. 6494 is a classic model of the mid-twentieth century, which stands out for its simple elegance and harmonious proportions. Equipped with the caliber 1210 manual-winding movement, it represents an early stage in the evolution of the Oyster line with date function. Its sober design, with a clean dial and 34 mm case, made it a popular choice among those seeking Rolex quality in a discreet presentation. This model retains the charm of the first Oysterdate models with a manual-winding movement. The dial shows a uniform patina with gold indexes and hands that add warmth to the classic design.
In the description of the watches when it is marked "in running condition" it means that the watch is in working order. Since collector's watches often have delicate and complex mechanisms, the buyer is responsible for any general service, overhaul, battery change, adjustment or repair that may be necessary. We do not guarantee the perfect functioning of any watch. All photographs of our watches are original and have been taken by our photographers, that is to say, we do not work with stock photography and that is why the photographs are considered part of the cataloging.
