Napoleon III table clock with a gilded bronze sculptural group representing a teenage daughter linking her arms around her mother's neck, interrupting her reading with sweetness. It is an endearing domestic scene. The dresses are draped with naturalistic folds and the sweet countenances exchange tender glances. The base and clock case is made of Belgian black marble, decorated with bronze applications that develops as festoons, garlands and claw feet. The dial features Roman numerals.
