DESCRIPTION

French table clock in Louis XVI style, second half of the nineteenth century.
Clockmaker Samuel Martí.
In gilded bronze and hand-painted Limoges porcelain decorations.
Paris movement, signed.
With chiming of half and hours.
It works in running condition. Just reworked.
Measurements: 32 x 25 x 12,5 cm.

French clock in gilded bronze. It follows Louis XVI models, which can be appreciated in the neoclassical language adopted in its elegant design. It combines architectural elements such as fluted pilasters with gallonado profile pedestals and floral garlands. The box is flanked by two oval cups with a Limoges porcelain belly decorated with cupids inscribed in white medallions on a turquoise blue background. The same chromatic combination in pastel tones decorates the lower frieze and the porcelain dial painted with a floral border. The numbering is Roman.
