French Empire table clock, ca. 1815.

Patinated and gilded bronze.
Signed machinery with half-hour and hour chime, which has faults and needs restoration.
Measurements: 75 x 52 x 20 cm.
This clock was made by the renowned French manufacturer of the early nineteenth century Claude Hémon in Paris. The watchmaker Claude Hémon (1770-1820) was a master watchmaker and ran his workshop in rue Saint-Martin from 1812 to 1820. It is known that his machines were used by Pierre Philippe Thomire 1751-1843, French sculptor, was the most prominent bronze artist, and manufacturer of ornamental objects in patinated and gilded bronze and furniture mounts of the First French Empire.
