On May 1, 1839 two Polish immigrants, Antoni Patek, businessman, and François Czapek, watchmaker, joined their knowledge to create the company "Patek, Czapek & Cie" in Genoa, Italy. Five years later, in 1844, Patek met the watchmaker Jean-Adrianne Philippe in Paris, where he introduced his pioneering crown system in watches. In 1845 Czapek decided to leave the company to form his own, so Patek changed its name to "Patek & Cie". A year later Adrien Philippe officially joined Patek and the watchmaker was once again renamed "Patek Philippe & Cie", although this was not the last change, because in 1901 there was a new change with which they were renamed "Ancienne Manufacture d'Horlogerie Patek Philippe & Cie, S.A.".1932 marked an important turning point in the destiny of the watchmaker brand. That year the brothers Charles and Jean Stern bought the company and changed the name once again to "Patek Philippe S.A.". Today the company is presided over by the fourth generation of the Stern family: Thierry Stern is the president and his father Philippe Stern is the honorary president.

In the description of the watches when it is marked "in working order" it means that the watch is in working order. Since collector's watches often have delicate and complex mechanisms, the purchaser is responsible for any general service, overhaul, battery change, adjustment or repair that may be necessary. We do not guarantee the perfect functioning of any watch. All photographs of our watches are original and have been taken by our photographers, that is to say, we do not work with stock photography and that is why the photographs are considered part of the cataloging.
