PATEK PHILIPPE Calatrava Chrono watch, Ref, 530 "Tasti Tondi" for men, ca. 1953.
In 18kt yellow gold. White dial with Arabic and dashed numerals. Sword type hands and second hand at the center. Counter for seconds and minutes of the chrono. Plexiglass crystal. Original mesh strap, with additional mesh and hidden folding clasp. Manual mechanical movement. It works.
Measurements: 37 mm (case diameter) and 45 x 39.5 mm (total case).
With its distinctive square lugs and buttons, reference 1579 is among Patek Philippe's most iconic chronograph wristwatches. Launched in 1943, this model was easily distinguished from other chronographs of the time by its larger size and faceted lugs, which earned the name "spider lugs" due to their unique angular design.
