Sheaffer brought its Balance model back to life in the 90s. It was produced in a wide range of colors, both solid and "marbled". The size in which they were produced is "unique", and is similar to the old Balance Oversize. They are equivalent to an MB 146.

The loading system of these fountain pens is, in general, the cartridge or converter. However, a limited edition was made in 1997, which incorporated the lever-loading mechanism used in the first Balance.

Fountain pens are Sheaffer's specialty. The very creation of the brand in 1913 was based on a patent related to fountain pens: the lever system. And throughout these more than 100 years it has continued to reinvent itself to offer customers the highest quality in its fountain pens.
