The M710 is somewhat more recent than the M700, as it was first released in 1992, although it is generally more difficult to find than its sister version. There are two different variants of this model. The first, classic style, was manufactured between 1992 and 1997, and has black resin components with a sterling silver coating, but lacks the gold plating present on the M700. The rim is silver plated and is probably palladium plated. The cap, more in line with current Souverän's, features two rings, the larger of which is engraved with "Pelikan 925 Germany". The top of the cap bears an engraved two-chick logo. These pens featured a two-color 18C-750 nib and a green ink window. On some early models, the piston knob was engraved "Pelikan W.-Germany", even when the cap band was only marked "Germany", probably indicating that the company was running out of old stock. The silver cap follows the same Toledo style of the M700, although the motifs are distinctly different. The ring near the piston knob is engraved with a unique serial number and the engraver's initials, as well as "925".
The line was revived for three years through limited editions in the colors of the German flag, which included versions of the M710 in red (2009), yellow (2010) and black (2011). These models can be distinguished from the previous ones because their piston knobs do not feature engravings, they have two adjustment rings on the piston knob and a special cap cap cap on the red and yellow models. The black version has the palladium-plated cap cap cap, which is now standard. The cap band on the special edition M710 bears the inscription "Pelikan Ag 925 Germany Toledo".
