In 2002 Pelikan completed the Asian series of limited editions with the Kirin model, of 888 copies. The Kirin is a mythological animal with an intense evocative power. It is described as a mythical animal that can protect from evil; it has the head of a dragon, the snout of a pig, the horns of a deer, the back of a tiger, the waist of a bear and its body is covered with scales.
