The historic German brand Pelikan has more than 179 years of tradition in the creation of writing instruments of the highest level.
The 1935 Lapis was launched in 2001 as an edition of only 1935 pieces. A marbleized lapis lazuli celluloid cap and binnacle are married with a black hard rubber knob and piston section, and the lapis lazuli color is as striking as the jade. The piston knob sports an arrow and the cabinet again includes an 18-karat gold-plated hanging clip and the double cap bands reappear. The familiar cap features return with the word "Pelikan" in a white fill with the unfilled numbered edition on the reverse. The ink window is dark amber and the nib remains unchanged from previous examples, an 18-karat yellow gold writing variant.
