The Tibaldi Clari Viri Peter the Great Limited Edition fountain pen is a unique piece of black resin, hand-painted and hand-carved by expert craftsmen, made from a single block of acrylic to ensure strength and durability. The body of the pen features an airbrushed miniature portrait of Peter the Great, while the cap is decorated with the Imperial Eagle. This piece, designed and created by Lorena Straffi, is part of the distinguished Clari Viri (Figures of Greatness) collection, which pays tribute to the great leaders of history.
The structure of the Tibaldi Clari Viri Peter the Great Limited Edition pen is based on the concept of the Golden Ratio (Phi), which guides its design in every detail. For example, the proportion between the cap and the body visible when the pen is closed follows the golden ratio.
In the tradition of Tibaldi pens from the early 20th century, each nib of the pen is made of solid gold and engraved with the "1ª Qualità" stamp, which guarantees a superior writing experience. The platinum is meticulously applied to the contours of the eagle and inside the words, which requires great skill on the part of the goldsmith. In addition, the thickness of the gold varies along the tip to provide flexible and comfortable writing. This pen is part of a limited edition of only 50 pieces.
Peter the Great was a visionary military leader and diplomat, known for his great capacity for transformation. His imposing physical presence, which exceeded two meters in height, was a reflection of his power. Although officially his title was Peter I, he called himself Peter the Great. Under his rule, Russia emerged as a world power. At his death in 1725, Russia had already established itself as a major power in Eastern Europe. He was emperor of all Russia from 1721 until his death in 1725, proclaiming Russia an empire in 1721. He centralized the government, created a modern army and navy, subordinated the Church to state power, restructured the country's territory and promoted scientific development. Peter the Great married twice and had 11 children. His tomb is in the Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul Fortress in St. Petersburg.
