With this Limited Edition, Montblanc pays tribute to Honoré de Balzac through a writing instrument as extraordinary as the writer. The design and shape perfectly evoke the elegance and elegance of Balzac's clothing, as seen in the cap that reproduces the fine-toed shoes worn by the writer. The black precious resin cap and the gray barrel decorated with fine lines are a tribute to the "morning coat" - an essential garment in Balzac's closet. The writer used to wear a sumptuously decorated baton, which is glimpsed in the turquoise-encrusted platinum clip. Balzac's initials engraved in typography delicately enhance the partially rhodium-plated 750 gold nib of the Writers Edition, evoking the author, printer and publisher that was Balzac. One of the main features of this Limited Edition are the three rings that represent the class structure of France in the nineteenth century, brilliantly described in his masterpiece "The Human Comedy": the opulent golden ring of the cap represents the nobility, the subtly decorated platinum-plated ring represents the bourgeoisie and the simple ring of the cap symbolizes the lower stratum.
