Through the graphics and surrealism of Pop Art I recreate my work in order to characterize our time, ignoring with total indifference any ideological or cultural legacy of the past; breaking the roles of popular figures and iconic characters that throughout history have become aesthetic symbols of great ideological connotation. Through the semantization of their image and decontextualization in art, they are considered universal icons that transcended and remain in the popular culture of the present. Starting with collage as an initial pause in my work, I recreate a style rich in material and technical solutions that, without questioning the order, I combine to obtain a colorful and spontaneous graphic with a contemporary and open language.

Reinaldo Ortega Sardiñas was born in 1977 in Havana, graduated from the ISA Havana Cuba in 2004, in Plastic Arts at the ENA, 1996. He lives in Alicante (Spain).
