"Tell me everything you think about God" is part of "The Master Project" a unique and particular tribute to the great masters of baroque and chiaroscuro, in this case to the work "Flagellation of Christ" by Caravaggio, signed by the artist and with certificate of authenticity.
Jorge Romero is a contemporary artist based in Madrid. He dedicates his artistic work to the treatment of light with a mostly monochromatic approach, translating color into lights, shadows and intense hallmarks, showing "what is not seen", where darkness becomes part of the image and what it hides, using expressionism and chiaroscuro as a resource, beyond aesthetics and technique.
Jorge Romero is a Colombian painter. From a very young age he was taken to Venezuela where he showed passion and interest in illustration and drawing, studying higher studies in Communication Sciences; in an act of rebellion and based on his creativity skills, he decided to move to the path of advertising, as the fastest way to convey his way of seeing the world beyond words, taking him to the graphic arts and creativity. After finishing his higher education he created his own design studio, focusing on communication, creativity and design projects for big brands and agencies, first in Venezuela and then in Spain, where he has lived since 2008 in cities like Barcelona and Madrid. While working on a communication project for a Pop Art gallery in Madrid during 2014, he reconnected with his muse by interacting directly with works by renowned icons of this movement such as Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Keith Haring or Robert Indiana, among others, initiating a period of experimentation, which led him to take up the paintbrush again (or any element within his reach). Influenced by great classical masters such as Caravaggio or Francisco Goya and by some more contemporary artists such as Franz Kline, Richard Hambleton or Pierre Soulages, he dedicates his work to the treatment of light with a mostly monochromatic approach, translating color into lights, shadows and intense hallmarks; showing "what is not seen", where darkness becomes part of the image and what it hides, using chiaroscuro as a resource, beyond aesthetics and technique. Some of his latest participations: International Contemporary Art Salon Paris 2022 OCCO Art Gallery Madrid Homage to GOYA and VANGOGH - SANTANA Art Galley XII International Exhibition MUNDOARTI Virtual Museum 2022.
