Melisa Figueroa Sanchez is a young artist specialized in painting. Recently graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona, where she received the Extraordinary Prize for her pictorial and academic career, previously she studied illustration. She has always felt an interest in all those issues related to mysticism and spirituality. As a result of this curiosity for the invisible, his paintings, of an abstract nature, emerge. He feels a special attraction for the concept of metaphysical duality: light and darkness, good and evil, emptiness and fullness... concepts that he seeks to transmit and explore in his work. He also investigates the relationship between music and painting. He has exhibited in several galleries and spaces in collective and individual scope as Ca l'Antiga (Teià), La Puntual (Sant Cugat del Vallès), Espai Capgrós (Mataró), Sala de exposiciones del Ayuntamiento del Distrito de Gracia (Barcelona) and in the same Faculty of Fine Arts in Barcelona. In 2023 he had his first solo exhibition, curated by art critic Ramón Casalé, at the Mercat de l'Abaceria in Barcelona. In 2022 he won the first prize in the XXI Concurs de Pintura al Passeig de Sant Joan and the Fine Arts Faculty Award.
