Catalan painter born in Orihuela (Alicante), Paco Ferrando Menárguez moved to Cabrils (Barcelona) with his family at an early age. He graduated in Painting from the Escola Superior de Belles Arts Sant Jordi of the University of Barcelona. After finishing his studies, he opened his own studio in the Raval neighborhood of Barcelona along with his friend Kim, known for his work in the magazine "El Jueves". Later, he traveled to the Netherlands to study Flemish and Dutch painting, and lived in Madrid, where he became part of the Castilian realism movement, participating in several group exhibitions. His work was introduced in galleries in Amsterdam and Brussels. In 1981, for personal reasons, he withdrew from the art market and remained in his studios in Calella (Barcelona) and Tenerife, painting on commission until 2001, when he returned to show his work in commercial circles. He participated in solo and group exhibitions in places such as Galería l'Arcada (Blanes - Girona), Omnium Ars (Platja d'Aro - Girona), Sammer Gallery (Puerto Banús - Marbella) and Albemarle Gallery (London), as well as in several art fairs: Lineart (Ghent - Belgium), Madrid Contemporary Art Fair "DeArte" and Marbella International Contemporary Art Fair "MARBart". His work has been recognized in several contests, obtaining the first prize in the "Concurs de Pintura Memorial Jean-Frederic Forest" in 2004, the first prize in the "Certamen de Pintura Port d'Aiguadolç" (Sitges) in 2005, and being selected in the "VIII Premi de Pintura Honda-la Garriga" (Barcelona) in 2006. Currently, his works are in private collections in Europe, United States, Russia and Asia.
