In this circular work by Salustiano García, the artist displays an atmosphere of sober intensity that captivates the eye. The vibrant red background dominates the composition, serving as an emotional and symbolic setting that enhances the central figure: a young woman portrayed in profile with an almost meditative stillness. The light, soft and precise, caresses her delicate features, highlighting her blonde hair pulled back in a bun and her monochromatic clothing that blends harmoniously with the surroundings.
The figure's pose, with her head slightly bowed and her eyes closed, conveys introspection, purity and serenity, as if she were absorbed in an inner world. To her right, a delicately detailed golden ornament bursts into the space as a decorative element suggesting refinement and connection to the ethereal or spiritual. The work balances the minimalism of color with the richness of technique, generating a visual dialogue between the classical and the contemporary.
Salustiano manages to transform simplicity into a vehicle for contemplation, endowing the piece with a silent but powerful presence, where the intense red acts as a reflection of the human soul and emotions.
Trained at the University of Seville and specialized in painting and Fine Arts, Salustiano has participated in numerous exhibitions both internationally and nationally, highlighting the exhibitions at the Fowler Museum in Los Angeles, the Luma Museum in Chicago, or the Vostell-Malpartida Museum in Cáceres. In the field of international art fairs, he has participated in Art Cologne, Armory Show in New York, Art Miami, Moscow International Art Fair in Moscow, Toutronto International Art Fair, ARCO, DIVA Art Fair in New York, KIAF International Art Fair in Seoul, MODERN in Munich, ART FORUM in Berlin, SCOPE Art Fair in Miami and Lodres, among others. Likewise, Salustiano's work has been on the cover of magazines and specialized press, such as Arte Al Límite magazine, Artery Berlin, MU Magazine or the cultural weekly of the national newspaper ABC. Salustiano has collaborated in projects of different charitable institutions of international prestige, such as the Dalai Lama Foundation, the World Microcredit Bank of Muhammad Yunus (Nobel Peace Prize) and the Cisneros Foundation. Currently, personalities such as Sharon Stone have Salustiano's work in their art collection.
