Painter specialized in landscape, although he also tackles other themes such as still life, Francisco Rodríguez Lobo belongs to the Sevillian school of reality, and is currently considered one of its most brilliant representatives. Throughout his career, Rodriguez Lobo has held almost forty solo exhibitions, in addition to participating in more than fifty group shows throughout Spain. Among the most recent, it is worth mentioning the solo exhibition held at the Haurie gallery in Seville in 2014. He has taken part in numerous competitions, being awarded first prize in the IV Provincial Drawing Competition of Seville (1982), the prize of the Caja Rural Exhibition in the same city (1994) and the Medal of Honor BMW Award in 2011, a competition in which the previous year he had managed to be a finalist. This painter develops a luminist and calm work, generally contemplative landscapes that invite to silent meditation, melancholic recreation and slowness.
