Recognized artist with a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Miguel Angel Pascual continued his studies with a post-graduate degree at the University of Barcelona. Throughout his career as an artist, he has exhibited in numerous galleries in Madrid (Quiosc Gallery), Barcelona (Galería Senda, Galería Ferran Cano) and Valencia (Galería Carmen de la Guerra), crossing Spanish borders and showing his work in Paris, Genoa and Chicago. He has also participated in fairs such as ARCO, Art Basel and New Art and has been awarded the II ABC photography prize. As for his work, Miguel Ángel Pascual's work fluctuates between a postmodern iconic aesthetic and a more traditional one with baroque influences. His innovative technique consists of confronting images collected from different sources (internet, press or even his own photographs) and polychroming them in a dark environment, giving a disoriented aspect to his works and, with it, a new meaning. He applies painting in an analytical way, reproducing pixels derived from technology, intermingled with gestural painting. His works are captured in what the artist himself calls "non-places" (public spaces such as airports or train stations).
