Isadora Willson Gazmuri graduated in Fine Arts at the University of Barcelona (2007) and studied Photography at the Institut d'Estudis Fotográfics de Catalunya (IEFC). Previously he studied Visual Arts at the University of Chile (2005). His pictorial work and his actions in public space "are based on the interaction of the subject with the environment, understanding that the identity of the individual and the relationships he builds with others are influenced by the space in which we live and the characteristics of the places in which we live. I am interested in the perception of space, the possibility of a new understanding of it and the representation of the different links we establish with the place". He has held solo exhibitions at C.C. Santa Eugénia, Girona (2011), Casa Elizalde in Barcelona (2010), Sala RAI in Barcelona (2009), among others. He has participated in group exhibitions at the Olimpia Gallery in Barcelona (2013), Balmaceda Arte Joven Gallery. Santiago de Chile (2012), Centro Cultural Universidad de Antioquia. Medellín (2012), Poble Espanyol Barcelona (2011), Amber Art Gallery (2011), Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Santiago de Chile, among others. Selected for the Call Sala d'Art Jove 2013. Atlas Project. The pictorial series "Paseantes" reflects the alienation of the individual before the conversion of cities into agglutinating non-places, on which Marc Augé reflected (department stores, stations, hotels...), places of passage without distinctive geographical or cultural aspects, without socializing elements. They are paintings of an elegant and minimalist aesthetic that transmit sensations of loss and vertigo in the face of the incomprehensible for the human scale. They suggest sublime infinity and disturbing tranquility.
