Nanda Koninckx is a lawyer by trade, an activity she has been tirelessly developing since 1977. She started painting in 2001. Thus, her vocation as a painter is a late vocation, born from "the urgent need to absent mind and spirit, for a while, of responsibilities and demands". It is not, according to her words, "to renounce the burden of responsibilities, it is more an imperious feeling of abstracting from the outside, to express, through this language without words, dreams, idealism, love, and what the spectacle of nature is engraving in my day to day". Nanda uses painting almost as a therapy, she has not undergone any studies related to the artistic field, not even in terms of techniques. All her painting is totally self-taught and experimental, she has made individual and collective exhibitions mainly in Valencia, being protagonist in different press releases and artistic magazines.
