Faber was formed in Germany, developing his artistic activity in Barcelona from 1932. He was one of the pillars of the Barcelona renovation of the fifties together with the group "Dau al Set", since his aesthetic, cultural and technical knowledge forged in Berlin and Munich turned him into a blessing for the Catalan artistic environment of the moment. He held exhibitions in several Spanish cities, as well as in Rome and Zurich, and participated in the Hispano-American Biennials of Havana and Barcelona, as well as in Venice. He was awarded the Gold Medal of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, the Grand Prize Sant Jordi of the Diputación de Barcelona, the International Biennial of Painting Estrada Saladich and the City of Barcelona. Faber is represented at the MACBA in Barcelona, the Es Baluard Museum in Palma de Mallorca, the Patio Herreriano in Valladolid and the Museum of Modern Art in Saint-Etienne in France, among others.
