This work of art by artist Juan Manuel Pajares is presented as a vibrant and energetic piece, with a mixture of styles that evoke expressionism and street art. The use of intense colors and thick strokes contributes to the sense of controlled chaos, while the central figure, which appears to be a character playing a guitar, seems fragmented and reconstructed through geometric and cubist shapes. The artist achieves an interesting balance between the figurative and the abstract. Although a human figure can be identified, the way it is deconstructed and presented in geometric planes gives it a surreal and defiantly modern feel. Elements such as the eye on the right and the crosses seem to have religious or spiritual symbolism, but can also be interpreted more subjectively. The work conveys movement, both through the posture of the figure and the arrangement of the elements and the patches of color in the background, which seem to be in a state of constant transformation. The use of thick lines and primary colors recalls influences of neo-expressionism, evoking artists such as Jean-Michel Basquiat, with an implicit critique of convention and a focus on the raw and visceral.
