Antonio Bueno is a photographer from Madrid, PhD in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid, who has developed an artistic career marked by a deep exploration of the relationship between the individual and his environment and by a conceptual approach to photography as a visual metaphor. His training and practice have been enriched by scholarships and residencies in key contemporary art cities such as New York, Paris and Rome, experiences that have influenced his gaze and his approach to the photographic image.
Throughout his career, he has had numerous solo exhibitions in Spain and other European countries, as well as participating in group shows in art centers and galleries in Europe, the United States, Argentina and Australia. His work is part of reference collections such as the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía in Madrid, the Fundación Arte y Tecnología de Telefónica, Artium (Vitoria-Gasteiz), the Polaroid Collection (distributed in different international museums), the Centro de Arte de Alcobendas (Madrid) and the Musée de la Photographie in Charleroi, Belgium, among others.
