Francisco Sales initiates his formation being a child, of the hand of the sculptor Enrique Bassas. At the age of twenty he attends the Artistic Circle, and enrolls in the School of Fine Arts of Barcelona. He holds his first exhibition in the Layetanas Galleries in 1930. After the Civil War he works and exhibits in France. Member of the Parisian Salon des Indépendants since 1945, he exhibited in the most important galleries of the French capital, such as Mirador (1953), Epona (1960) or Angle du Faubourg (1961). Currently, this painter is represented in the Musée de la Villa de Paris, the Museums of Contemporary Art of Madrid and Toledo, the Provincial Museum of Vitoria, the Museum of Fine Arts of Bilbao and the Diputación de Barcelona.
