In this work, Ortega decomposes the landscape into planes in the cubist way, seeking to construct an image that represents the totality of the space without resorting to traditional realist formulas.
An artist with a personal figurative language, Héctor Ortega approaches traditional themes such as the figure, the landscape or the still life, showing an expressive concept of color and texture, moving on occasion on the border between figuration and abstraction. Throughout his career, Ortega has held important exhibitions in Spain and abroad, with special mention to those held at the Sammer Gallery and the Kreisler Gallery in Madrid, the Borghi & Co. Society in New York, the International Monetary Fund, the Chicago Art Fair and ARCO in Madrid and Europart, among others.
