Painter, engraver, muralist and designer of stained glass windows, Fornells Plà was formed between Paris, Florence and the United States. He made his individual debut in 1949, and in 1967 he presented a large anthological exhibition at the Tinell in Barcelona. He was one of the founders of the Salon d'Octubre in Barcelona, and made numerous murals and stained glass windows for the monastery of Montserrat, in the late fifties and early sixties. During the eighties he developed an innovative experience consisting of the synthesis of sculpture, mobile and stained glass, examples of which are preserved in Badalona, Manresa and Girona. He is represented in the MACBA, as well as in several important private collections.
