Painter of figures, portraits, animals and landscapes, Paco Barrachina works both in oil and watercolor. He discovered his artistic vocation as a child, when at the age of six he discovered that, with the coal from the fireplace, he could make meaningful lines, and he began to draw on the walls of his village. Years later he entered the School of Fine Arts of San Carlos, in Valencia, where he was a disciple of Genaro Lahuerta, and later extended his studies at the Artistic Circle of Madrid. He then travels around Spain studying the different landscapes, interiors and monuments, always painting from life. He developed a realistic style, especially focused on customs and landscapes, in addition to working the figure with an expressive and profound language, which goes beyond the simple capture of detail to delve into the human soul. On the other hand, in his language there is an undeniable imprint of Sorolla, especially in his play of light and shadow. Throughout his career, Barrachina has held exhibitions in various galleries in Valencia (Toscana, Artis, San Vicente, Pizarro), Castellón (Novell), Madrid (San Lorenzo de El Escorial, Mellado, Verona, Ansorena), Las Palmas (Madelca), Vitoria (Ugarte), Gijón (Van Dyck) and, outside our borders, in Lisbon (Europeia, Euroarte). He has also taken part in important collective exhibitions, held in centers such as the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Valencia, the Reales Atarazanas in the same city, the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid, the Museo de la Ciudad de Valencia and the European Parliament in Strasbourg. He is currently represented in the Provincial Council of Alicante and in the European Parliament in Strasbourg, as well as in other institutional and private collections.
