In this work the artist proposes a deep reflection on the act of creation, drawing a parallelism between the instant in which an idea arises and the origin of the Universe itself. Unmanifested Universe' is a work that poetically evokes the moment before the Big Bang, that state of absolute stillness charged with potential before the explosion that shaped everything we know. The piece not only invites us to contemplate the mystery of the origin, but also to meditate on the evolution and constant change inherent to existence. The artist invites us to perceive the Universe not as a static place, but as a space that constantly imagines, transforms and dreams.
In 1978, David Paquet received the first prize for drawing from the city of Gramat. This recognition marked the beginning of an artistic career that would lead him to explore multiple forms of expression and leave an indelible mark on the contemporary art world. In 1989, Paquet settled in Madrid. He soon formed relationships with emblematic figures of the Movida Madrileña, such as photographer Pablo Pérez-Mínguez, Fabio McNamara, Carlos Berlanga and music producer Miguel Ángel Arenas. Together they founded the music production company Legende S.L., an experience that nurtured his artistic vision and strengthened his connection with Spanish culture. Paquet's restless spirit led him to explore fashion, decoration and photography, collaborating with renowned artists such as Pérez-Mínguez. Between 1989 and 1999, he contributed his styling talents to iconic projects, including the cover of Alejandro Sanz's Viviendo Deprisa album and the celebrated works of the "PPM Icons". His first solo exhibition, Impire, in 1993, which opened at the prestigious Sen Gallery in Madrid, was the beginning of a fruitful exhibition career. During the following years, his works were exhibited at the Palacio de Bellas Artes, the Palacio de Gaviria and the Galería Corazón Negro.
In 1997, the creation of Minotauro Cósmico (Cosmic Minotaur) consolidated his place in the art scene. This work, highlighted by scholar José María Blázquez Martínez as a reference to the classic myths of the 20th century, marked a milestone: it was the first male nude published in Shangay magazine. Paquet continued to participate in events such as Photo España 98 and to collaborate with fashion designers such as Manuel de Gotor and Lorenzo Caprile. In 1999, he opened his portrait studio, immortalizing figures such as Alejandro Sanz, Andrés Pajares and Pedro Serrano, among others. Actions such as the creation of a website in 2005 or his participation in international events such as Part Art Fair in Germany, Paquet consolidated his global presence. He also ventured into large-scale projects, such as the set design for "Las 7 Musas de P.P.M." and retrospective exhibitions celebrating his three decades of work in Spain.
