Painter and graphic artist, he studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts of San Fernando of Madrid, graduating in 1983, year in which he obtains the University Prize of Painting of the above mentioned faculty. In 1984 he was awarded the First Prize "Black and White" by the Spanish Press. The following year he received a scholarship from the Hispano-American Committee to travel to New York. In 1991 the City of Paris awarded him a scholarship. His first works are framed within realism, with the representation of jungle figures or large cities made with abundant matter. Later he evolves towards a neo-figuration where he undoes figures and reality through successive fragmentations and transformations. Abstraction dominates his current painting, characterized by large canvases related to neo-expressionism and trans-avant-garde.
