Margarita Gil Granero has a degree in Fine Arts and Philosophy and Letters from the University of Barcelona. After finishing her studies she opted for engraving, training at the Institute of Book Arts in Barcelona, and later at the Pietro Vannunci Academy in Perugia (Italy). It was this leap in her career that led the artist to abandon oil painting for good, after discovering new techniques and materials. She began her exhibition activity in the early eighties, holding solo exhibitions in various Spanish galleries. Soon, however, she crossed borders to exhibit in France, where she made her work known from Paris, achieving a very good reception.
