Scene whose aesthetic language is defined by a clear realism in the execution and whose final result is a composition of surrealist character. The aesthetic stands out for its colorful style, which can be appreciated in the pictorial conception of the animals, whose bulky volumes reinforce the illusion of three-dimensionality and detract from the frontality of the composition.
Igor Fomin studied architecture, although already during his student years he did several plastic works for the government. In 1988 he began to paint pictures, where the characters with strange faces that will be the protagonists of his mature work were already appearing. That same year he moved to Spain and settled in Torremolinos, holding his first exhibition in Benalmádena shortly after. In 1992 he exhibited for the first time in New York, thus beginning a successful international career. Between 1996 and 2000 he worked exclusively for Sammer Gallery, with whom he held exhibitions all over the world. He has also won important awards such as the Salón de Otoño de Madrid or the BMW Painting Prize.
