Olympic gymnast, painter and draftsman, Enric Montserrat Foj worked in the sixties as a cartoonist and illustrator for the publishing house Bruguera, in titles such as "Sissi" (1960) or "Historias Selección" (1967). He specialized in romance and action serials, and worked linked to "Selecciones Ilustradas" ("Johhny Jueves"). In the mid-eighties he abandoned comics to devote himself fully to painting, and developed a language centered on the human figure, especially the female figure, with rigorous drawing and delicate chromatism.
