Born in Chile but based in Barcelona for two decades, Fernando Alday has a long artistic career. He has participated in European art fairs and has had numerous exhibitions in Spain and abroad, including the solo exhibition held at James West in London in 1996, the one at the Marlborough gallery in Santiago de Chile in 2000, the one at the Artloft space in Reus in 2007 or the one at the Jordi Barnades gallery in Barcelona in 2008, among others. He has won second prize in the "Raima" Illustration Competition in Barcelona (1994) and first prize in the National Painting Competition of the City Council of Montcada i Reixac (1995).
