Multidisciplinary artist, Alejandrina García Faure excelled in drawing, artist books, art installations, frescoes (ephemeral murals), collages, textile art, objects (light boxes, paintings, exlibris) and ceramics. He studied at the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid and entered the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando in 1957, finishing his studies in 1962. He belonged to a generation that was between the group of artists of the Spanish post-war avant-garde of 1957, El Paso, and the generational movement of the 80's, the Movida. In 1978 he was part of the Spanish Plastic Artists Union Association, ASAP, which made its first exhibition in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture Panorama 78. Solo exhibitions: Madrid, Seville, Santander, Valladolid, La Coruña, Barcelona, Bilbao, León, Segovia, Ibiza, Paris... and in art galleries; Abril Gallery (1970), Cid Gallery (1974, 1975), Altex Gallery (1981), in the Centro Cultural de la Villa de Madrid (1991) and Arcadia (1995) in Madrid; 1979); Casa de España, Paris (1979); Spanish Institute, London (1984). She was awarded numerous prizes. Currently her work is kept in the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, in the Museo de la Real Academia de Bellas Artes De San Fernando and in the collection of artist's books of the Biblioteca Nacional de Madrid.
