MIGUEL MARTÍNEZ VERCHILI, (Castellón, 1898 - Valencia, 1989)."Landscape with tree".Oil on tablex.Signed in lower right corner.Measurements: 21 x 27 cm; 44,50 x 50,50 cm (frame).The watercolorist Miguel Martínez Verchili was a founding member of the artistic group Pont de Fusta, and was part of the direction of the Círculo de Bellas Artes, institution that in 1987 awarded him the Gold Medal for Artistic Merit. He also worked as a cartoonist and illustrator, collaborating with publications such as "La Traca", before the civil war. In this field he used the pseudonyms "Fabio" and "Palmer", and was the creator of series such as "Aventuras de Jaimito y Periquete".
