The Valencian painter Juan Francés was born in Xàtiva, a person who pays a noble cult to freedom and independence. In his beginnings he belonged to the Artistic Movement of the Mediterranean and Actual Art of Valencia, but little by little he isolated himself from groups and influences that could mediate his artistic demands. He experimented with abstraction, which contributed and facilitated chromatic, harmonic and aesthetic contributions to his work. From his long life devoted to painting we find his works in the Museum of Contemporary Art of Madrid, and in different cities such as Frankfurt, Hamburg, Sao Paulo, Paris, Washington, Barcelona, New York, etc.
