The Marinese painter Ramón Lorda Vidal, known as Ramón Deside. He was one of the purest informalist painters in whose paintings the brutal and the angelic are inseparable. Painting without any reference to the concrete, from pure stain to the elevations and protrusions of the painting. Painting of shouting and joy. They are ideas made colour in which all tones are possible and in which black is usually the lord and master of the result. Cultivator of what came to be called abstract expressionism. His artistic legacy is an important pictorial oeuvre, which is part of private and museum collections and has been exhibited to the public on numerous occasions. This resident of Cantodarea began his artistic career at a very early age, when his father sent him to the academy of the painter Estrada to take his first steps among brushes and canvases. He later lived in Barcelona, where he became acquainted with informalism. During his time in Catalonia, he lived alongside the great non-figurative innovators and produced high reliefs in a variety of materials, of enormous plastic interest. His work is better known in Catalonia than in Galicia, although he is considered to be one of the Galician referents of informalism and abstraction.
