RENÉ HOLM (Denmark, 1967).
"Good Luck", 2003-2004.
Mixed media (oil and wool) on canvas.

In this work the author uses a language that oscillates between figuration and abstraction, based on a conception of irregular form, with an organic character both in its outline and in its colours. It is an open style, whose basic characteristic is the conception of the pictorial surface as a whole, as an open field, without limits and without hierarchy. Thus, as we see here, the pictorial forms are the result of a thought-out composition and experimentation, with an image of a gestural nature, indicating to the viewer that these are forms, ideas or suggestions that go beyond the boundaries of the purely pictorial.
Rene Holm is a visual artist who began his artistic education at Århus Kunst Akademi 2001 - 2006. Rene Holm's work is based on figuration. His work is most often exhibited in Denmark, but he has also participated in exhibitions in Germany, the UK and elsewhere. Throughout his career Holm has had more than 17 solo exhibitions and 57 group exhibitions in recent years. One of the most notable being Kunstnernes Efterårsudstilling 2003 at Den frie stilling in Copenhagen in 2003. Rene Holm is represented by Galleri Franz Pedersen in Horsens, Denmark.
