Enrique Ginesta studied at the School of Fine Arts of San Carlos, where he obtained the End of Degree Prize in 1922. Between 1924 and 1926 he worked at the Residencia de Paisajistas de El Paular, thanks to a state grant, and in 1927 at the Residencia de artistas de la Alhambra in Granada. He also won a grant to travel to France, Belgium and Holland. In 1932 he was awarded the chair of Perspective at the institution where he had trained, the San Carlos School of Fine Arts.
He took part in both solo and group exhibitions, at the Museo de Arte Moderno in Madrid (in 1925 and 1926), at the Ateneo Mercantil in Valencia (1930), at the Sala Gravia (1948), at the Círculo de Bellas Artes (1962), among other places.
He worked assiduously in landscape, but he also devoted himself to portraiture and still life. In this case he offers us a rural panorama. The landscape is constructed from successive planes of colour, applied in an almost geometrical pattern, with a long, fluid brushstroke.
His work is in the Musée d'Art Moderne in Paris, the Museo Provincial San Pío V in Valencia and others.
