Since she was a child, Ana Paúl felt attracted to paper and its expressive possibilities. She soon began to make different types of compositions with different types of images that she found and also her own. The influence of Japanese culture can be appreciated in her work, where paper has been explored with great subtlety. Ana Paul is attracted by its expressiveness, its textures, its folds, its profiles, its edges and its volumes. She is also captivated by forests and trees, their majestic beauty and primal mystery. After completing her studies, she moved first to London and then to Paris where she lived for 20 years. There she worked in the fashion and decorative arts industry being exposed to great creativity and artistic freedom through the contact she had with the best designers and witnessing their most creative presentations. Throughout this time she continued to develop her collages, inspired by all the talent that surrounded her. She currently lives and works between Madrid and Barcelona.
