Painter specialized in the scenes of sea and French and English coast, Louis Barnaba was formed in The Hague next to Louis Meijer. His career is extensive: in 1864 he participated in the Antwerp Salon and in 1868 he exhibited two paintings at the Ghent Triennial. In 1874 he received a medal at the London Exhibition. In 1876 he exhibited three seascapes at the prestigious American Centennial Exhibition in Philadelphia: "Coast of France", "Ships on Land" and "Sunset on the English Coast". In 1877 he participated in the Ghent Triennial Exhibition. In 1881, at the General Exhibition of Fine Arts in Brussels, he presented two works.
