In this painting of interior, the author invites us to cross the hall of a bourgeois home, probably from Barcelona's Ensanche, with the walls decorated with portraits of family members, a chandelier hanging from the ceiling, a bronze brazier on the carpet, and furnished with bucatas and period tables. At the back, a corridor leads to the terrace area or the inner courtyard, from where a filtered light comes in.
