Isidoro Marín Garés was a Spanish painter, ceramist and art restorer. He studied at the School of Fine Arts in Granada, where his main teachers were Julián Sanz del Valle and Eduardo García Guerra. Due to his precarious economic situation, he practiced a wide variety of artistic activities; among them, illustrations, posters and lithographs, in addition to his usual paintings, which he made on various supports, such as wood, canvas, ceramics and fans. He also did decorative painting for some of Granada's most distinguished families and worked as an art restorer. For a time he was curator of the Alhambra. He only exhibited outside Granada on one occasion: at the Universal Exposition of Barcelona in 1888, simultaneously with a small exhibition at the Sala Parés.
