Luis Granite y Tejada was known, mainly, by his skill in the painting of still lifes with floral subject (especially valued are his roses), although his work was very extensive and somewhat varied, with the landscape painting as another of the main genres of his work, but with a clear approach to the aesthetic novelties contributed by the pictorial vanguards of his time.
