MANUEL ROIG VERICAT (Ulldecona, Tarragona, 1893 - ?).

Measurements: 47 x 62 cm; 58 x 73 cm (frame).
Brilliant landscape painter, Roig Vericat captures an instantaneous nature, impressionist, paying special attention to the work of color and light. He trained at the Círculo Artístico de Sant Lluc, in Barcelona, and was also a disciple of Joaquín Mir. He held individual exhibitions in the Barcelona galleries Syra, Busquets and Casa del Libro, and also participated in various group exhibitions and national and international art competitions. He was awarded a prize at the Fine Arts Exhibition held in his hometown in 1951. In the same year he presented a selection of landscapes and seascapes at the aforementioned Casa del Libro in Barcelona.
