Rafael Juliá Entraigues was a Spanish painter of the 19th century. He specialized in themes of popular customs: wild landscapes and portraits. In this painting he displays his mastery in capturing the typological attributes of manolas, majos, majas and bullfighters, to which he gives his own personality and at the same time ascribes to the autochthonous folklore.
