"Portrait of a lady.
Gouache on vellum.
It has frame of the twentieth century.
Signed.
Measurements: 5.5 x 4 cm; 19 x 17 cm (frame).
José Alonso del Rivero moved to Madrid in 1975 to study at the School of Fine Arts of San Fernando. In 1802 he obtained the first prize of drawing in second class and three years later, he was decorated with the first prize of painting. Due to the War of Independence he moved to Alicante, where he worked as a teacher. Later, he returned to Madrid where he continued working as a painter, achieving great fame for his miniatures.
