FEDERICO BADENES BENETÓ, (Villanueva de Castellón, Valencia; 1879-1963)

Measurements: 63 x 48 cm, 86 x 71.50 cm (frame).
Still life with flowers of different species and colors along with a closed fan. Oval-shaped, colorful painting in which the artist manages to transmit the vitality of the flowers with a fast and luminous stroke. The volumes are well defined thanks to the artist's handling of light and color.
He was born in Villanueva de Castellón, but his family moved to Valencia when he was a child. He entered the School of Fine Arts of the Academy of San Carlos at the age of fifteen, where he was a student of José Benlliure, Joaquín Agrasot and Isidoro Garnelo. He was the author of excellent watercolors and still lifes. His work is characterized by its meticulousness, which he achieved after a meticulous analysis and many hours of work.
